Invented in late 1800 by a pharmacist in Serralunga d Alba (CN), who decided to produce a tonic from the wine Barolo, which added an infusion of cinchona bark Calissaja along with other spices and a limited amount of alcohol and sugar. We wanted to dust off that old recipe and with the addition of precious alpine herbs abbaimo got this delicious liqueur. A unique combination between the complexity and delicacy of Barolo and the exotic flavors of the bark of China. An elixir is unique in the world.
