Description : Morellino di Scansano Capatosta - Poggio Argentiera
Vineyards: grapes from the selection of old clones of Sangiovese (30 years) and young plants at high density (minimum 5650 piante3/ha) on weak rootstocks. Production by less than 1 Kg patina The area of cultivation of the coastal Maremma Grosseto. The microclimate is much like the Mediterranean with high solar radiation and rainfall low. Vinification: Fermentation is carried out at 100% in barrels over the age of three years, opened and placed vertically. Malolactic fermentation and aging in casks of first, second and third step (50%, 30% and 20% respectively) of toasted oak from Allier average, for 12-13 months. The wine, enriched the traditional presence of Alicante, is presented as a champion of the ideal "terroir" Maremma: full, elegant and robust, but very drinkable, perfectly capable of integrating all of its internal structure and concentration of tannins. |
