Description : Vertigo - Livio Felluga
Winemaking: The grapes are gently de-stemmed and subjected to crushing. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins at controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. Frequent replacements are performed for a period of about three weeks, in order to extract color and aromas from the skins. Happens then the racking. Aging: The maturation for twelve months in steel and small French oak barrels. The bottled wine is normally kept in temperature controlled rooms for at least four months. Sensory: Color: intense red cherry with hints of living. Bouquet: intense, fruity and spicy scents of cherry, red pepper, black currant, blackberry, blueberry, complemented with sweet spices, licorice and reference of musk. Palate: full, soft, well structured, clear, sweet tannins in balance with the acidity that gives a fluidity in line with an intense fruity and spicy aftertaste. Serving suggestions: First savory dishes, grilled meats or stews, roast beef, pork, lamb and goat cheeses of medium seasoning. Serving temperature: 16 - 18 |
