Description : Brunello di Montalcino Riserva - Barbi
In 1997 the spring was cold, with a consequent drop in temperature and frost in early April, when the vines were in bloom, causing a drop in yield of about 30%. The summer had optimum temperatures, with very little rainfall. The weather in autumn has been beautiful, with high temperatures, favoring the perfect ripening of the grapes. Although the yield was reduced because of spring frost, the quality achieved was very high.
