One of the oldest labels Barone Ricasoli which changed very often blend to stabilize in its 100% Chardonnay in barrels at present. But dismiss it as yet another attempt to please a Chardonnay would be reductive in Tuscany! First, the nose is by no means trivial with a nice mix of sensations tropical (passion fruit, papaya, pineapple) and spicy (coconut, butter, light brown) and then in the mouth has a remarkable drinkability proving much more open to male and naso.Ottima acidity and great flavor make it the perfect companion not only for the usual fish and shellfish meats but even better on with marked presence of fat such as lard column or our fragrant finocchiona. |
