Description : Fiano di Avellino Colli di Lapio - Clelia Romano
The excessive heat foreshadowed grapes from low acidity, rich in sugars but immature in terms of phenolic, low levels of the aromatic complexity. Features particularly negative, especially for a white grape varieties. Instead the first wines presented at the beginning of this year already had, immediately dispelled most of these doubts. Since last month, then, began to arrive on the market the most important labels of producers most quoted. The other night I tasted one that was certainly these: Colli di Lapio Fiano Romano Clelia. The harvest has meant that this Fiano (for the first time) surrenders its proverbial fine, its rigor and sobriety to enjoy, immediately, in a more prompt and exuberant. The deep minerality that has always characterized the winning couple Lapio-Clelia (from 94) is opened in this version to more extroverted notes of ripe yellow fruit with net tropical nuances. |
